Balancing vs Dancing

Last week, a friend posted a link to 20 things every parent should hear and it came at the perfect time.

I’m a month into this new endeavor and I was feeling a bit exhausted. Most of the list resonated with me in some way, especially this one:

19. Balance is a myth. Parenting isn’t a tight-rope walk; it’s a dance. Strive for rhythm instead of balance, and trust yourself to move to the ever-changing beat.

I’m not going to rename this blog, but this statement help put things into perspective. I can’t expect balance within our everyday chaos, but I can sure can find dance in the cacophony.
