This week: Back to Reality

Last week was filled with fun, frolic with friends and family!

Monday – yoga/swim (20min/20min) – 20 min swim
Tuesday – yoga/bike (20min/30min) – Visit with friends all day!
Wednesday – run club/dawn patrol (3 miles) – 60 min of butt kicking workout! + swim
Thursday – Commitment Day 5k (3.1 miles) — with the Hubby and SIL!  It was his first 5k!  We ran/walked it and had a great finish!  He’s so much taller than I, so when he started sprinting at the end I had to really book it to keep up with him.  He’s never really wanted to run with me, but decided late last year that he wanted to try a 5k.  I’m so proud of him!

Friday – yoga/swim (20min/20min) – no workout
Saturday – yoga (20min) – no workout
Sunday – Indoor Tri (1 hr)

Completed my first tri of the year!
10 min swim – I completed 13 lengths (325 yds) without fully stopping.  I hesitated a for a sec at each end.  
30 min spin – 9 miles!  I kept my RPMs around 70-85 and I was able to book it a couple of times!  I even spotted 19-20mph.  
20 min run – 2.13 miles.  I totally “Rocked My Run” with the Finish Strong mix.  Yes, that was me dancing on the treadmill.  I started at 6.0 and then gradually increased my speed until I topped out at 7.0 for the final kick.  

I had a blast at the indoor tri!  I’m committed to triathlons and this was the start of the tri season — 11 weeks until Tri for the Cure!

This week’s goals are to go back to figuring out our real schedule.

Monday – Stretch and Foam roll
Tuesday – Run 3/Barbell Class
Wednesday – Run Speed/Swim
Thursday – Swim Drills
Friday – Rest
Saturday – Bike
Sunday – Long Run
