Hot Chocolate 5k/15k 2016 series {giveaway}

Greetings faithful readers!  I’m happy to announce that I’m continuing on as an Ambassador for the 2016 Scottsdale Hot Chocolate 5k/15k!  It will be my 4th year running the race and 3rd year as an ambassador (see recaps here:  2015, 2014, 2013).  This will be an exciting family event, since Anakin and the Hubby will also be running in their first ever 5k!  The boy has been over the moon excited about the race, and he can’t wait to start his training… okay, let’s be honest — he can wait.  Yes, he’s waiting until September to start his C25k plan. It’s been toasty here in AZ, so I don’t blame him at all.

I’ll be running the 15k since I love this race for the fun and the awesome race swag!  The “Goodie Bags” from previous years are pretty awesome and have ended up being my Winter jacket.

Earlier this year, there was a poll for to select this year’s “Goodie Bags” and this season’s jacket is a combination of all my favorite features!  It has a hood, a full zipper, pockets and thumb holes!!

This year’s race giveaway was announced last week and it’s a Black visor!

It’s pretty sweet bonus swag!  When you register, make sure you use the code AZSWAG1 (FL peeps can use TampaSwag1 for their bonus swag).

Haven’t signed up yet?   Good news:  I have one free race entry to the Scottsdale Hot Chocolate 5k/15k  (Sunday, December 4, 2016) to share with an amazing reader!  Enter using the Rafflecopter link below and answer these two questions in the comments below before Tuesday, Sept 6th at 11:59pm.

Have you run in a Hot Chocolate Race? Which distance will you run this year?

Bad news:  Since the promotional codes do not stack, the winner will not be eligible for the awesome visor.  Read the rest of the fine print below.  It’s still a free race entry!

Either way, I hope that you’ll join the fun at the Scottsdale Hot Chocolate 5k/15k!

  1. I love this race but I’m always hesitant because it’s so pricey and there’s a ton of races before and after I want to do lol!! Hope I win! πŸ™‚

  2. I have ran this race three times 5k once and 15k twice. I really like it I love the swag that you get. This year I am on the fence and that is why I have not registered yet. But if I win I will run the 15k

  3. I’ve never done the Hot Chocolate race before. This year will be my first time, and I’ll be running the 15k. Hopefully with a free race entry!

  4. I have ran this Hot Chocolate race once. I loved the 15k and hope to run it again this year.

  5. I haven’t run this race yet. It is pricey and can’t fit it into my budget. Would love to run it someday, looks like fun and awesome swag.

  6. The HC 5k was my very first run/walk race back in 2014 when my running journey began, and by 2015 I was able to run the 15k with 25 co-workers! I hadn’t planned on running this year, but who can say no to a free entry? πŸ™‚ If I win I would do the 15k…it doesn’t pay to go backwards!

  7. It’ll be my first Hot Chocolate race. I’ve always wanted to run where you get rewarded with chocolate at the end, nom, nom, and not to mention the awesome swag. Can’t wait!!

  8. Ok, totally forgot to tell you which race I’m going to run. See I need chocolate so I don’t forget(haha)
    The 15k all the way.

  9. I walked the 5k last year with Helly when I was preggo and she was injured. I’ll do the 15k if I win πŸ˜€

  10. I ran the 5k last year with my daughter and LOVED it! I’m hoping to do the 15k this year πŸ™‚

  11. I’ve done the 15k 3 years in a row. Every year I say I’m not going to do it again, but the cute jackets and the chocolate always lure me back! I’d like to do the 15k again this year

    1. I complain and grumble race morning (for having to get up and deal with traffic), but when I’m sporting my jacket around town

  12. I’ve never run the Hot Chocolate as I don’t race very often but I’m always looking to see what my next race will be. I’d choose the 15K as this would be a new distance to me.

  13. I’ve always wanted to run this race but usually don’t leave room in my calendar for fun races like this!! The swag looks awesome this year and honestly it’s a toss up on distance. It will be about 8 weeks after I have my baby so I’d go with the shorter distance to be in the safe side!
